DoubleTick Connector for Salesforce – Privacy Policy

DoubleTick Connector for Salesforce ("the extension") is published by Toronto Tax Boutique. It is an independent tool and is not made by, endorsed by or affiliated with DoubleTick or Salesforce. This policy explains what data the extension handles and why.

What the extension does

When you view a record in Salesforce Lightning, the extension reads the record's Phone field and adds a "WhatsApp Chat" button. When you click that button, the extension sends that phone number to a relay service operated by Toronto Tax Boutique on Cloudflare Workers. The relay asks DoubleTick (public.doubletick.io) for a chat link, and the extension shows the DoubleTick chat in a panel on the page.

Data the extension handles

• Phone number of the Salesforce record you are viewing. It is read from the page only to show the button. It is sent to our relay, and from there to DoubleTick, only when you click the WhatsApp Chat button. The relay passes it through and does not store or log it.
• Access token (optional). If you enter a personal token on the settings page, it is stored locally in your browser with Chrome's storage API and is sent only to our relay.

What we do not do

• We do not store phone numbers or any other personal data. Our relay only forwards the request to DoubleTick and returns the chat link.
• We do not use analytics, tracking or advertising.
• We do not sell or share data with third parties, other than sending the phone number to DoubleTick when you ask to open a chat.
• We do not read other Salesforce fields, other websites, or your browsing history.

Third-party services

The relay runs on Cloudflare Workers. Chats are provided by DoubleTick. Data you send through the embedded chat is handled under DoubleTick's own privacy policy and terms.

Removing your data

Uninstalling the extension deletes any stored access token from your browser. You can also clear or change them at any time on the extension's settings page.
